Odd, because on my original W10 Pro install it was working okay, albeit I had to create optimized media for all my 4K clips, which I didn't have to do in version 15. Then when I was rendering my content it just crashed and now won't come up at all, gets stuck on Loading Waveform Monitor then just quits. Thanks - After a bit more searching I saw that newer drivers had caused this problem for some others, I deleted the newest drivers and installed some older ones, and it was working great after that, even smoothly playing 4k video in the edit page with no optimized media. Please see Kinvermark's post in this link:
I did notice that when installing DaVinci 16 this time a message popped up that my graphics card was okay for basic colour grading etc, but not advanced colour grading, however this message did not show up when I installed 16 over 15 before I did windows reinstall.Īny ideas how to get around this error so I can get back to video editing? Should I try and reinstall older GPU driver? On AMD site there is only new versions available, but I am sure older ones can be found.
However I did install the latest drivers for it after the windows reinstall, the driver version reports it as 5.1003 in speccy. My graphics card is an AMD RX480 8GB, and was working fine before. Now when I open Resolve I am getting this error. it seemed to work ok.Īfter experiencing Windows 10 Pro not getting latest updates, I finally just wiped my C drive and did a fresh install to get it up to date, then reinstalled programs, Resolve 16 being one of the first. I have been using Resolve 16 for awhile now, while seeing the occasional bug others report etc.
